About NextDecimal

Capital market intelligence for Indian investors, without the noise

Most financial platforms bombard everyday Indian investors with screaming headlines, speculative "multibagger" stock tips, complex derivatives gambling, and high-frequency noise. A closing stock price records only what happened at the end of a session. It does not explain who bought, who sold, what size was transacted, or where long-term capital is actually flowing.

NextDecimal was created to solve this. We reconstruct the real mechanics of the Indian market directly from statutory regulatory disclosures: institutional flow, sector rotation, substantial insider transactions, block deals, and risk-free sovereign benchmarks. Our mission is to make institutional-grade market data transparent, accessible, and easily understandable for ordinary citizens and middle-class savers.

The platform aggregates and displays public, statutory disclosures to provide analytical clarity. Investment decisions and the financial risks attached to them rest entirely with the individual reader. Always conduct independent verification or consult a SEBI-registered advisor before acting.

The Universe

Why We Track 9 Specific Indices & 153 Constituents

The Indian stock exchanges list well over 5,000 companies. However, a significant majority of these companies are illiquid micro-caps with negligible institutional interest, wide bid-ask spreads, and scarce disclosure histories.

Rather than scraping noisy, unverified data across thousands of inactive tickers, NextDecimal focuses exclusively on 9 premier benchmark and sectoral indices. Across these 9 indices, there are 197 total index positions. After removing overlapping memberships (such as major banks that appear in both the Nifty 50 and Nifty Bank, or technology giants in both the Nifty 50 and Nifty IT), the result is an authoritative universe of 153 deduplicated constituent companies.

On coverage: these are the deduplicated constituents of the nine indices above, which is a definition rather than a ranking. The platform does not publish a figure for the share of total exchange turnover or market capitalisation they represent: computing either needs an all-India total that is not among the datasets collected here, and a number that cannot be checked does not belong on the page.

Code of Conduct

Our Operating Principles

  • No tips, target prices, or recommendations: We report disclosures and mathematical flows; we never tell you what to buy or sell.
  • No unverified or estimated figures: If an official dataset is unavailable, we state it explicitly rather than manufacturing estimates.
  • No advertising, sponsored stocks, or broker referral kickbacks: We do not accept sponsorship from public companies, broking platforms, or PMS providers.
  • No grey market premiums (GMP): Unregulated street quotes have no contractual validity and are excluded.
  • True counterparty transparency: We only report counterparties where the exchange has legally disclosed them.
